Exploring MIS & SAP with Guest Speaker Adam Schick

Investigating and Prosecuting the James Byrd Jr. Case

James Byrd Jr. was an African American man whose murder in Jasper, Texas made national headlines and sparked legislative changes. Following Byrd's death, the family established the James Byrd Foundation for Racial Healing. Presenters: Tim Brewer, adjunct professor, and Mark Broome, instructor.

In this 32-minute film, former residents, members of the community and a local historian document the people and the legacy of the Charlton-Pollard neighborhood, one of the oldest Black neighborhoods in Beaumont. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Simio Approves In-Kind Grant to the Center for Midstream Management and Science
Simio LLC has approved an in-kind grant valued at $216,000 to Íæż½ã½ã's Center for Midstream Management and Science. This grant includes 90 copies of Simio® Academic Edition software that will be used in research and education in digital manufacturing.

COVID-19 Vaccines Available
Free COVID-19 vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) are available at the Student Health Center to all Íæż½ã½ã/LIT students, faculty and staff. You must register for an appointment.
The Student Health Center is also offering COVID-19 booster vaccines for eligible students, faculty and staff for Íæż½ã½ã and LIT campuses. Eligibility criteria can be found on the CDC website. Please fill out the registration form for an appointment.
