“They Will Talk About Us: The Charlton-Pollard Story†- Student/Staff Session

The Center for History and Culture Fellowships Available
The Center for History and Culture invites applications for research and creative fellowships up to $5000 to support the production, curation and transmission of knowledge about Southeast Texas and the greater Gulf Coast. The CHC welcomes applications from any scholarly discipline or creative field. The application deadline is April 1.

Dr. Jim Mann Appointed to faculty Ombudsperson
Dr. Jim Mann has been named as حوإ¼½م½م’s first faculty ombudsperson following an internal search. The ombudsperson, who reports directly to the president, acts as an independent, impartial, confidential and safe resource for faculty and staff at حوإ¼½م½م to get information and develop options for how to move forward in difficult situations.

Library to Close Early on March 11
Due to work on the ongoing library construction project, the library will close at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 11. During this time, the construction crew will facilitate the transfer of power from the old to the new power infrastructure. Review of Texas Books Needs Reviewers

COVID-19 Vaccines Available
Free COVID-19 vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) are available at the Student Health Center to all حوإ¼½م½م/LIT students, faculty and staff. You must register for an appointment.
The Student Health Center is also offering COVID-19 booster vaccines for eligible students, faculty and staff for حوإ¼½م½م and LIT campuses. Eligibility criteria can be found on the CDC website. Please fill out the registration form for an appointment.
