Bayoulands Season VI
Date: Sunday, May 22, 5 p.m. Location: Virtual
Tune in to 91.3 FM for the repeat broadcast of the premier episode of Season 6 of the Bayoulands radio series, featuring interviews with Ukrainian-American and Lamar colleague, Uliana Trylowsky, and documentary photographer and Íæż½ã½ã alum, Patrick Patterson, followed by a visit to Chosen Weeds Farm. Emergency Alert System Test
Date: Wednesday, May 18, 10 a.m. Location: Íæż½ã½ã Campus
Íæż½ã½ã will conduct a functional exercise in coordination with Lamar Institute of Technology and ExxonMobil at 10 a.mon Wednesday, May 18, 2022. During this time, several tests of emergency notification systems will take place. All messages will begin with “THIS IS A TEST OF AN EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM.” The purpose of the exercise is to test and evaluate the emergency functions of activating the Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan to respond to an infrastructure issue by involving employees and students in a drill involving a chlorine leak at ExxonMobil near campus. The exercise will last one hour beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m.

The Mary and John Gray Library 2022 Faculty Corner Display
The 2022 opens on August 15, 2022, in the Mary and John Gray Library on the first floor. The Gray Library is recognizing Íæż½ã½ã faculty scholarship and encourages faculty that meet the publishing criteria to submit their citations to the Faculty Corner Display no later than June 6, 2022. COVID-19 Vaccines Available
Free COVID-19 vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) are available at the Student Health Center to all Íæż½ã½ã/LIT students, faculty and staff. You must register for an appointment.
The Student Health Center is also offering COVID-19 booster vaccines for eligible students, faculty and staff for Íæż½ã½ã and LIT campuses. Eligibility criteria can be found on the CDC website. Please fill out the registration form for an appointment.
