Citizen's Police Academy for Students

Date: Tuesday, September 13 - Tuesday, October 18, 12 - 1 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center, Cypress 1 & 2

Designed to give the public a working knowledge of the police department's officers, civilian personnel and policies, the Citizen's Police Academy for Students consists of five, one-hour classes, in which we will cover different facets of police work, personal safety, traffic laws and statutes. Coffee & Connect

Export Workshop - Take Your Business Global

Date: Tuesday, September 13, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

You will about various related export topics. The Small Business Administration has made it a priority to help small business exporters with several export loans specifically designed to help expand into export activities.

Be a Flu Fighter

Date: Tuesday, Sept. 13 - Wednesday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center, Sabine 123

Cooler weather is coming; get your flu shot! The Student Health Center is offering flu vaccines this Tuesday and Wednesday in the Setzer Student Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost for students is $25 and can be charged to your Íæż½ã½ã account. Bring your insurance information as you may qualify for a free vaccine, courtesy of Alana's Foundation.

Red Day: "Stand Up and Holler"

Date: Thursday, September 15 - Friday, September 16, 12 p.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: Virtual

Red Day, Íæż½ã½ã’s annual Day of Giving, will showcase the generosity of the Íæż½ã½ã community. During these 24 hours, we call upon Cardinals everywhere to "Stand Up and Holler" for Íæż½ã½ã by making a contribution of any size to the college, area or program that means the most to you.

Budgeting and Saving Workshop

Date: Thursday, September 15, 5 - 6 p.m.

Money Management Program is hosting a financial education workshop provided in a virtual format to all Íæż½ã½ã family. Participants will learn effective tips for budgeting, spending and tactics for building an emergency fund. with Wells Fargo presented at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Boggy Slough with Jonathan K. Gerland

The Center for History and Culture welcomes Jonathan K. Gerland author of Boggy Slough: A Forest, a Family, and a Foundation for Land Conservation. He will discuss the natural, cultural and business history of this unique conservation land in the Neches River Corridor.

COVID-19 Vaccines Available

Free COVID-19 vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) are available at the Student Health Center to all Íæż½ã½ã/LIT students, faculty and staff. You must register for an appointment.

The Student Health Center is also offering COVID-19 booster vaccines for eligible students, faculty and staff for Íæż½ã½ã and LIT campuses. Eligibility criteria can be found on the CDC website. Please fill out the registration form for an appointment.
