Fall FestiFUL
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Location: Dining Hall Lawn
More than 13 local farmers and vendors will come together on Íæż½ã½ã’s campus to share their goods, meet with students and create meaningful memories as the school year kicks off. The event, called “,” is put on by Chartwells Higher Education, Íæż½ã½ã’s food service provider, and will be hosted virtually by celebrity chef Jet Tila. There will be prizes, games and shopping opportunities with the vendors. We will also have a specially crafted fall menu in the dining hall.

Karankawa Revival with Tim Seiter
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Location: Science Auditorium
Tim Seiter will discuss the revival of "extinct" Native American cultures, focusing on the Karankawas and other groups of the Texas Gulf Coast. His work has generated wide interest and featured in Texas Highways, The Texas Tribune, Southwestern Historical Quarterly and Bayoulands.

National Stuttering Association Beaumont/Lamar Chapter Meeting

Department of Theatre & Dance Opens "The Clean House"

"The Clean House" is a play by Sarah Ruhl. A 2005 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama, this wildly theatrical and funny play is a whimsical and poignant look at class, comedy and the true nature of love. Tickets are for purchase.

Past successful presenters will share their experiences. Several awards also will be offered at these events.

Dinners in the Fall is an annual event of multiple dates hosted by the Hospitality Administration Program in the Nutrition, Hospitality & Human Services Department. Students in the Culinary Arts program have three opportunities, Oct. 24, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, to serve limited registered guests food on campus and gain experience.
