Deaf Advocacy Students to Present Topic of Closed Captions in Local News

Date: Monday, Nov. 14, 5:30-7 p.m.
Location: Communication Building, Room 113

Advocacy students in the Deaf Studies/Deaf Education Department will be presenting a discussion around closed captions in local news and to educate on what is right and what should be changed for deaf viewers to have a better viewing experience.

National Career Development Week Events

How to Build Credit!

Join the Money Management Program with Laura Landry from Education First Federal Credit Union. As you set your foundation for building good credit, know it may take time, but it's never to late to start. Set small achievable goals and give yourself a big pat on the back each time you accomplish one.

Cardinal Ideas Pitch Competition

Date: Friday, Nov. 18, 3 - 5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 19, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: CICE Building

Come see the most promising student start-ups Íæż½ã½ã has to offer! In the Elevator Pitch from 3-5 p.m. on Nov. 18, teams have 60 seconds to sell their idea to a panel of expert judges. Audience members will be able to vote for their favorite! The Pitch Deck Competition Finals will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. om Nov. 19.

Alpha Delta Pi's Cornhole and Washers for a Cause!

Date: Saturday, Nov. 19, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: Riverfront Park Pavilion, Port Neches

Please join the Delta Beta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi in supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities at our Cornhole & Washers for a Cause Tournament! The tournament will be double elimination with a $30 entry fee for a two person team for either cornhole or washers or $50 for both. $5 entry fee. .

Íæż½ã½ã Theatre and Dance Spring Auditions

Location: Studio Theatre

Íæż½ã½ã Theatre and Dance auditions for spring theatre shows are Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. in the Studio Theatre. Auditions are open to all majors and selections from the plays will be provided.

KVÍæż½ã½ã's National Day of Giving

Date: Tuesday, Nov. 29, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

During the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 29, KVÍæż½ã½ã Public Radio will be kicking off their year-end campaign during the "National Day of Giving." The goal is to raise funds to support KVÍæż½ã½ã and to keep public radio on the air for Íæż½ã½ã and the surrounding community.

Our second annual Cardinal Lights spectacular holiday light display has returned to the Íæż½ã½ã campus for the Southeast Texas community to enjoy. Thousands of lights will adorn trees and illuminate campus buildings around Jimmy Simmons Boulevard, Jim Gilligan Way and the Rolfe Christopher Drive entrance to campus.

College of Business Donation Drive

The College of Business is currently accepting donations of new socks, hats, scarves, other winter weather items, lotions, balms, and soft pre-packaged snack items to benefit local asset living home residents. Donations can be dropped off to GB 106 until Dec. 9.

CMMS Top 10 Issues Facing the Midstream Industry in 2023

The Midstream Center conducted the second annual CMMS survey of its Industry Advisory Board and friends of the center. This survey drew on opinions from senior industry people in midstream management, engineering, operations, consulting and academia. For more information, visit the center's website.
