Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Concert

Join Dr. Andrew McMahan and the students of the Íæż½ã½ã wind ensemble and symphonic band as they showcase a number of pieces from various musical artists.

Íæż½ã½ã Theatre and Dance Spring Auditions

Date: Monday, Nov. 28, 6 - 8 p.m.
Location: Studio Theatre

Íæż½ã½ã Theatre and Dance auditions for spring theatre shows are Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. in the Studio Theatre. Auditions are open to all majors and selections from the plays will be provided.

Holiday Wassail Celebration

Date: Tuesday, Nov. 29, 9-11 a.m.
Location: Mary and John Gray Library Lobby

All faculty, staff and students are invited to enjoy yummy, warm wassail, a traditional spiced beverage, on Tuesday, Nov. 29 in the lobby of the Mary and John Gray Library.

KVÍæż½ã½ã's National Day of Giving

Date: Tuesday, Nov. 29, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

During the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 29, KVÍæż½ã½ã Public Radio will be kicking off their year-end campaign during the "National Day of Giving." The goal is to raise funds to support KVÍæż½ã½ã and to keep public radio on the air for Íæż½ã½ã and the surrounding community.

Íæż½ã½ã and ExxonMobil presents Cardinal Lights!

Our second annual Cardinal Lights spectacular holiday light display has returned to the Íæż½ã½ã campus for the Southeast Texas community to enjoy. Thousands of lights will adorn trees and illuminate campus buildings around Jimmy Simmons Boulevard, Jim Gilligan Way and the Rolfe Christopher Drive entrance to campus.

National Stuttering Association Chapter Meeting

Date: Thursday, Dec. 1, 6:30-8 p.m.

If you stutter, you're not alone! It’s estimated that 1% of adults stutter, which would equal 160 Íæż½ã½ã faculty, staff and students sharing the common experience of stuttering. Come join us either in person or via .

President and First Lady Holiday Open House

Date: Friday, Dec. 2, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Location: President's House

President and First Lady Taylor invites the entire Íæż½ã½ã campus community –– faculty, staff and students –– to their home to enjoy holiday decor and light refreshments.

Covid Boosters Available at Student Health Center

The Student Health Center has the Pfizer Bivalent booster shot available to all students, faculty, and staff who have completed the initial vaccination series regardless of who manufactured the initial series. Please call 409.880.8466 for an appointment.

Pulse Student Literary Magazine Accepting Submissions Now

Pulse student literary magazine is now accepting submissions for poetry, poetry-in-translation, prose (short fiction), creative nonfiction, and cover artwork. The Pulse publication and release party/event will be held in May 2023. A cash prize will be awarded for one selected work in each category. Deadline: Dec. 15.

College of Business Donation Drive

The College of Business is currently accepting donations of new socks, hats, scarves, other winter weather items, lotions, balms, and soft pre-packaged snack items to benefit local asset living home residents. Donations can be dropped off to GB 106 until Dec. 9.

David J. Beck Fellowship Applications Open

The 2023 David J. Beck Fellowship application is open for submission. Faculty and staff are encouraged to motivate students you know to apply for this prestigious fellowship. Please visit the website for the application requirements and award information.

CMMS Top 10 Issues Facing the Midstream Industry in 2023

The Midstream Center conducted the second annual CMMS survey of its Industry Advisory Board and friends of the center. This survey drew on opinions from senior industry people in midstream management, engineering, operations, consulting and academia. For more information, visit the center's website.
