Our second annual Cardinal Lights spectacular holiday light display has returned to the Íæż½ã½ã campus for the Southeast Texas community to enjoy. The Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum also will be merry and bright for the entire month of December with Christmas in Boomtown: City in Lights, a holiday event for all ages

Due to the campus electrical outages on Saturday Dec. 17, the campus will experience network outages during this time for internet, phone, and Wi-Fi. Off-campus services for access to the Íæż½ã½ã website, Blackboard and email will not be affected.

Former NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year, and 2017 Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year (NCAA FCS Coach of the Year) finalist, , has been named Íæż½ã½ã head football coach. A coaching veteran with nearly 30 years of coaching experience at all levels of the game, including a decade as a head coach, Rossomando has a decorated résumé of building programs into championship contenders.

Pulse student literary magazine is now accepting submissions for poetry, poetry-in-translation, prose (short fiction), creative nonfiction, and cover artwork. The Pulse publication and release party/event will be held in May 2023. A cash prize will be awarded for one selected work in each category. Deadline: Dec. 15.
