The Quiet Hour Changes to Earthtones

Date: Monday, Jan. 30, 3-4 p.m.
Location: Virtual

Beginning January 30th, "The Quiet Hour" changes to "Earthtones" to allow for a broader musical journey that includes more music from around the globe and the best in ambient, new age, and new acoustic music from host Elizabeth French. Monday through Friday at 3 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. on 91.3 FM KVÍæż½ã½ã.

Mexican novelist Carlos Fuentes (Macías) said that "Writing is a struggle against silence." Learn how to leverage your access to the Writing Center to activate your voice and embrace the idea that you are already a writer, even when it feels difficult or impossible.

Saving for Emergencies: How to Get Started

Having money in an emergency saving fund will help you get through a drop in income, pay for emergency repairs and handle other life's unexpected events. Please join Íæż½ã½ã Money Management Program workshop guest speaker Casey Galindo with Wells Fargo.

Spring 2023 Study Abroad Fair

Location: Setzer Center--Live Oak Ballroom A

Students can hear from faculty members about Summer 2023 study abroad courses, learn how to spend a semester abroad while earning Íæż½ã½ã credit, and learn how to customize your own study abroad experience based on your major and academic goals. Information will be available on study abroad scholarships.

This fast-paced boot camp focuses on the dynamics of high-tech entrepreneurship and has been very popular at Harvard, MIT, Indiana University, Rice University and others. Notable Íæż½ã½ã entrepreneurs and founders tell their own successful startup stories and all the lessons they learned.

Student Printing Service Update

Íæż½ã½ã Information Technology has expanded the student printing services offered on campus to now include color printing, scanning, copy and fax. In addition, students can now print directly from a personal device and add additional funds using a credit card.

EAP Interface Behavioral Health

Íæż½ã½ã provides an benefit that is available to employees, spouse, and dependents at no cost. The EAP provides support with personal issues, planning life events, and/or work related concerns.

Updates to Íæż½ã½ã Wi-Fi

Íæż½ã½ã I.T. Network Services updated the security certificate for Íæż½ã½ãnet wi-fi on Jan. 6. Please note that if you are having issues connecting to wireless, restart the connection process by first connecting to the join Íæż½ã½ã Wi-Fi network and completing a new enrollment process. Detailed instructions can be found at www.lamar.edu/wifi along with contact information should you need further assistance.
