Opening Reception for Senior Art Students to be on April 28

Dance Unleashed Concert Set for April 28, 29
Date: Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29 Location: University Theatre
Dance Unleashed: Faculty Dance Concert features the Íæż½ã½ã student company of dancers at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29. Jazz, modern, tap, contemporary, etc. will be featured. The concert will be choreographed by Íæż½ã½ã dance faculty and guest artist Kiera Amison of Muscle Memory Dance Theatre. now.

Senior Film Students to Present Final Projects

Last Call for "A Resiliency Reader" Submissions
Deadline: Sunday, April 30, 11:59 p.m.
This is the last call for submissions. The Center for Resiliency is publishing a book of collected works from the Lamar community, including LIT, Lamar State College Orange and Lamar State College Port Arthur. We're accepting poetry, short fiction, personal/scholarly essays and art. Tell us your story of resilience. Five submissions will be awarded $100 each.

The FY23 Inventory Verification from May 1 - June 15
The state of Texas requires Íæż½ã½ã to conduct an annual verification of its property. This is no small task, with over 10,000 assets distributed among 125 departments. The list of assets to be verified will be sent to each department's property custodian on May 1 and is due June 15. More information is available.

Ombuds Office Moves to CICE Building
The Ombuds Office has moved to its new location in Room 130 of the CICE Building. This new site will offer increased confidentiality for visitors. The office also has numerous resources for managing work-related problems. Feel free to come by and see what it offers.

Buckeye Partners Funds Research Project for Íæż½ã½ã Professors
Buckeye Partners, L.P. ("Buckeye") has funded $100,000 for the continuation and expansion of a research project led by Íæż½ã½ã professors Dr. Mariam Hamidi and Dr. Jing Zhang that is focused on deep learning-based defect classification and prediction. This research project was initially funded by the Center for Midstream Management and Science under its annual RFP research program.
