Date: Wednesday, Dec. 6, 6 - 8 p.m. Location: Wayne A. Reaud Building Courtyard
Íæż½ã½ã will light up the holiday season with the third annual Cardinal Lights on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 6 to 8 p.m. in the courtyard of the Wayne A. Reaud Building. Cardinal Lights will feature a holiday light display for Íæż½ã½ã faculty, staff, students and community members to enjoy, as well as children's activities, hot cocoa, holiday cookies, photos with Santa, and other festive fun. A fireworks display will take place at 6:30 p.m.

Chartwells to Host Late Night Breakfast Event
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 28, 9:00 - 11:30 p.m. Location: Brook-Shivers Dining Hall
The end of the semester is just around the corner, so for some late night eats and treats. Hypnotist and comedian, Dr. Jon Taylor, will be entertaining the crowd starting at 10 p.m. Come early to get good seats and see your peers get hypnotized. Please note that the Íæż½ã½ã Dining Hall will close at 8 p.m. to set up for the breakfast event.

Burnout in the Workplace
One in four people admit to being burned out and detached from their work. Causes are often related to feeling overwhelmed, trying to balance work and family priorities, or just doing more with less. Íæż½ã½ã Writing Center Hosts First Ever WAC Composition Awards
Deadline: Monday, Nov. 27, 11:59 p.m.
Faculty members who teach first-year writing classes are encouraged to nominate one deserving student by Nov. 27 for a first-of-its-kind Compy Award. Winners in six interdisciplinary categories will receive $50 and the honor of being a recognized writer on campus. See site for details on how to enter.

27th Annual Cardinal Food Drive

Center for Resiliency Launches New SmartStorm Initiative
The Íæż½ã½ã Center for Resiliency has launched a new distance learning portal, , that will provide useful and critical information for preparing for and coping with the effects of hurricanes, floods and damaging weather. Three courses will be available with certificates and a disaster preparedness backpack, while supplies last.

Submit to Pulse, Íæż½ã½ã's Student Literary Magazine
Deadline: Friday, Dec. 15, 12:00 a.m.
Submissions will be open from October 15 to December 15 for Pulse magazine. Submission categories include: poetry, short fiction, scholarly essays, creative nonfiction, poetry in translation, and art. Submissions are open to all students, regardless of major. $100 prizes will be given for each category. A publication release party and reading event will be held in May of 2024.
