Hearing Aids
Lamar Audiology Summer Services Available

Date(s): Now through Thursday, Aug. 1, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: Íæż½ã½ã Speech & Hearing Building

The Íæż½ã½ã Speech and Hearing Clinic offers audiology services as a benefit of employment to employees, their insurance-covered dependents, or to currently enrolled students, with no out-of-pocket expenses. We also work with Vocational Rehabilitation for technology assistance. Call (409) 880-8171 for more information.

Íæż½ã½ã Center for Resiliency to Host Brown Bag Lecture Featuring Student Panel

The Íæż½ã½ã Center for Resiliency will host a Brown Bag Lecture featuring students employed by the center. Come see Center for Resiliency student employees discuss their experience working for the center and their various roles on research projects funded by the center.

Íæż½ã½ã Center for Resiliency Continues Disaster Backpack Distributions on Wednesdays

Prepare for hurricane season with the Íæż½ã½ã Center for Resiliency Smartstorm disaster training and receive a backpack complete with emergency supplies to assist you and your family in the event of a disaster. Bring your participation verification to the Signature Center suites located in the Cherry Engineering Building on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Boomtown Summer Serenade

Date: Friday, June 21, 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Location: Spindletop Boomtown Museum

Spindletop Boomtown Museum is back with the second concert of our Boomtown Summer Serenade series, featuring local band Ole Lonesome. Join us on June 21 for a night of live music, food, drinks, and local art vendors. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., music starts at 8 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee, and Íæż½ã½ã students enter for free.

SHC Relocation
Íæż½ã½ã Student Health Center Closed for Moving

The Student Health Center will temporarily close from June 14 at noon to July 7. We'll reopen at 8 a.m. on July 8 in our new location inside the Sheila Umphrey Recreational Center. Carl Parker Memoir Available May 31

TURTLE ON A POST: MEMOIR OF TEXAS STATE SENATOR CARL PARKER will be available May 31. Over two years, Carl Parker recorded stories of his career, and his wife, Beverly, typed them up. Jim Sanderson then assembled, organized, and edited these notes into a memoir. The memoir can be found on Amazon.
