Dishman Art Museum to Host KVÍæż½ã½ã Photographs

Date: Friday, July 12, 2 - 4 p.m.
Location: Dishman Art Museum

The public is invited to an opening reception at the Dishman Art Museum for KVÍæż½ã½ã: Rewind…In Pictures, Friday, July 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. This exhibit features archival photographs and memorabilia that highlight the early days (and people) of KVÍæż½ã½ã long before computer automation and digital media.

Green Squad
Join the Íæż½ã½ã Green Squad and Recycle on July 13

Date: Saturday, July 13, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Montagne Center (parking lot)

Please bring your recycling to the next Recycling Day coming up on Saturday, July 13. Items put in the recycling bins on campus do not get recycled. If you want to help with the community garden, recycling, or other projects, please join the Íæż½ã½ã Green Squad on the Hub – we need students and employees. Lamar Audiology Summer Services Available

Date(s): Now through Thursday, Aug. 1, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: Íæż½ã½ã Speech & Hearing Building

The Íæż½ã½ã Speech and Hearing Clinic offers audiology services as a benefit of employment to employees, their insurance-covered dependents, or to currently enrolled students, with no out-of-pocket expenses. Íæż½ã½ã Center for Resiliency Continues Disaster Backpack Distributions on Wednesdays

Prepare for hurricane season with the Íæż½ã½ã Center for Resiliency Smartstorm disaster training and receive a backpack complete with emergency supplies to assist you and your family in the event of a disaster. Bring your participation verification to the Signature Center suites located in the Cherry Engineering Building on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Movie - How to Lose a Guy
Boomtown Cinema Under the Stars

Date: Friday, July 12, 8 - 11 p.m.
Location: Spindletop Boomtown Museum

Join us at Spindletop Boomtown Museum for an outdoor showing of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." Bring your comfy chair or blanket and let the stars be your backdrop for an unforgettable evening. Doors will open at 8 p.m., and the movie begins around 8:45 p.m. Food, concessions, and drinks will be available for purchase. Íæż½ã½ã students can attend for free.

Serenade Talbert
Boomtown Summer Serenade

Date: Friday, July 26, 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Location: Spindletop Boomtown Museum

Join Spindletop Boomtown Museum for an evening of live music by Jamie Talbert, food, and local artist vendors at Boomtown Summer Serenade. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; and music is from 8 to 10 p.m. There will be a $5 general entry fee and free entry for Íæż½ã½ã students. Íæż½ã½ã students will receive a free food voucher with a valid student ID.

New Course Evaluation System Launching Summer 2024

Starting Summer 2024, Íæż½ã½ã will begin using a new student course evaluation system from Watermark. Students will receive an email inviting them to participate. Course evaluations can also be accessed directly through Blackboard. Questions about the evaluation system can be directed to darpa@lamar.edu.
