The National Stuttering Association plays a vital role in letting people who stutter know that they are not alone. It’s estimated that over 160 Lamar faculty, students and staff share the common experience of stuttering. Come join us either in person or via .

The Íæż½ã½ã Office of Strategic Initiatives is launching First Generation (First Gen) Connections this fall. The purpose is to engage first-generation students using holistic approaches to advance curricular and co-curricular outcomes and transform their college experience. The First Gen Connections program is for students whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year degree. Starting Summer 2024, Íæż½ã½ã will begin using a new student course evaluation system from Watermark. Students will receive an email inviting them to participate. Course evaluations can also be accessed directly through Blackboard. Questions about the evaluation system can be directed to darpa@lamar.edu.

Special Events Crew positions are . This is an extra pay work opportunity available to all full-time Íæż½ã½ã employees. Earn extra cash ($25/hour flat rate) by helping with Íæż½ã½ã-related work after hours and weekends. We need your help with set up, moving, and take down across campus.

Payroll Announcement:

Timesheets for pay period 8/3/2024 - 8/16/2024 are due on regularly scheduled deadlines. Timesheets for pay period 8/17/2024 - 8/30/2024 will be due early due to campus closure on 9/2/24. Bi-weekly employees must enter timesheets by 11:59 p.m. Supervisors must approve by 2:00 p.m.
