The Íæż½ã½ã Department of Biology invites you to its second a series of seminars, given by Dr. Matt McClure of Lamar State College Orange. He will talk about what is an invasive species and why we should be concerned. Many of the species he will talk about are issues in Texas including the New Guinea flatworm.

Dr. Randy Gonzales (LSU-Lafayette) will read sections of his poetry and talk about the history and culture of the Filipino American community at St. Malo, Louisiana. His poetry collection Settling St. Malo won the 2024 Summerlee Book Prize from the Center for History and Culture.
