How Great Thou Art
How Great Thou Art emerges as a sculpture series with a dual mission: to foster the development of authentic communities and to shed light on the societal issues stemming from excessive technology reliance. This thesis is a composite of two pivotal elements: sculptural maquettes and a digital component that translates the sculptures into real space, providing a more accurate scale representation. These components work in harmonious tandem, not only inviting viewers to admire the intricate craftsmanship and vibrant colors of the tangible sculptures before them but also encouraging them to envision the potential of large-scale sculptures in uniting communities and nurturing genuine relationships.
The driving force behind How Great Thou Art is to evoke a sense of conviction in those grappling with technological overuse and to contribute to the noble cause of cultivating authentic relationships. By doing so, this project aspires to pave the way for the development of sincere communities, ultimately addressing the pressing challenges posed by our technology-saturated society.
