My artistic exploration delves into the nuanced expression of femininity within the context of a patriarchal framework, manifesting through a multimedia installation. Focused on the transition from girlhood to womanhood, my sculptural installation weaves an immersive narrative, beckoning viewers to empathize with and contemplate the hurdles faced by young women in oppressive environments. Moreover, my artwork delves into the multifaceted landscape of feminism, imbuing the narrative with a spectrum of viewpoints and intricately rendered representations.
Employing a blend of handcrafted and discovered objects, my aim is to evoke an otherworldly ambiance that speaks to themes of resilience, personal evolution, metamorphosis, and solidarity. Infused with sentimental and nostalgic elements, my creations capture the essence of these motifs, resonating deeply with women. Mixed media serves as my primary medium, utilizing soft and weightless materials to fashion delicate textures that hint at both the fragility and fortitude inherent in femininity. These carefully chosen materials not only add a tactile dimension to the artworks but also enhance the sensory experience for viewers.
