Mr. Balentine teaches radio broadcasting, podcasting, studio recording and media programming classes. He began broadcasting in 1978 as a late-night radio announcer and a host and producer of a public affairs program on television.
He was named Program Director for KVÍæż½ã½ã in 1987. In March 2005 he was promoted to Station Manager until his retirement in 2022. He has been honored four times by the press club of Southeast Texas for best public affairs / talk show program, and by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for KVÍæż½ã½ã’s recovery efforts after Hurricane Rita.
He currently volunteers for KVÍæż½ã½ã as a program host and producer. He also hosts and produces his own YouTube Channel.
