The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students organizes National Transfer Student Week (NTSW) annually on every third week of October to celebrate transfer students and those that support them through their academic journey. At Íæż½ã½ã, we love our Cardinal Transfers! We want to celebrate and support the diversity of the transfer student experience. We hope that you join in on this celebration!

Play trivia or just stop by for nachos!
Hot Chocolate & T-Shirt Swap | 10 am - 12 pm | The Quad
Start the day off right with some hot chocolate! Be sure to bring an old t-shirt to swap out for a Fresh Feathers shirt.
Arts & Crafts | 5 pm - 7 pm | SSC Food Court
Arts and crafts in the food court with painting and friendship bracelets. Be sure to bring an old t-shirt to trade!

Pizza Pick Up | 11 am - until we run out | SSC
Pick up pizza in front of the Setzer Student Center while supplies last, learn more about our Íæż½ã½ã Transfer Students, and write a note to your Transfer Student friends appreciating them for choosing Íæż½ã½ã!
Fresh Feathers was created by and for transfer students to connect and support transfer students to the Lamar campus and community. Fresh Feathers hosts events just for transfer students to help their transition to Íæż½ã½ã! As a Transfer Student, you can also join our planning committee to help plan our semester events and activities.
T-Shirt SwapsDuring the first week of each semester Fresh Feathers facilitates a t-shirt swap for transfer students. We ask students to turn in a shirt from their old college or university and we will swap for a new Íæż½ã½ã shirt, designed for transfer students to show of their Cardinal Pride. We then take the old shirts and use them for a service project later in the semester.
Free EventsFresh Feathers hosts monthly events open to all transfer students to help them connect with campus life. Every October we also host a week full of events for Transfer Student Appreciation Week.
